We invest in vertical market software businesses to foster sustainable,
long-term growth.

What is Aspen Tree?

Founded in 2022, Aspen Tree is a long-term holding company that acquires exceptional software businesses that have a vertical or niche market focus, recurring revenue, and low churn.

Unlike private equity, VC, and search funds, we approach every acquisition with the intention to own that business for decades to come, with no plans to sell. Our key differentiation is our permanent capital structure, which enables us to invest for the long term and be an excellent enduring home for the businesses we acquire.

Why Work With Us

Aspen Tree maintains a decentralized operating approach for the businesses we buy. We want to empower company level autonomy, preserving the “secret sauce” — culture, employee and customer relationships — that has fueled the company’s success thus far.

What's in a Name?

The aspen tree personifies the organization we strive to build. While a forest of aspen trees may look like thousands of individual trees, they are in fact all one organism connected under the surface.

As a family of exceptional businesses, Aspen Tree aspires to build a similarly diverse and strong organization: one built by many companies run independently, yet connected under the surface by a strong root of shared knowledge, capital, and resources, allowing it to endure for many years to come.
