We have a long-term approach in all that we do – investing, relationships, and business-building.

At Aspen Tree, our key differentiation from other buyers is our permanent capital structure, which enables us to invest for the long term and be perpetual owners of businesses we acquire.  This core alignment between our capital, investing, and operating philosophies allows us to provide a great long-term home for great businesses.  By having a long-term horizon in all that we do, we strive to build enduring businesses that can stand the test of time, like our namesake, the aspen tree.

Behind the Aspen Tree Name

The aspen tree personifies the organization we strive to build: While a forest of aspen trees may look like thousands of individual trees, they are in fact all one organism connected under the surface (fun fact: the aspen tree is the world’s largest living organism). As a family of exceptional businesses, Aspen Tree aspires to build a similarly diverse and strong organization: one built by many companies run independently, yet connected under the surface by a strong root of shared knowledge, capital, and resources, allowing it to endure for many years to come.
