Georgie Brinkley
FOUNDER
Before founding Aspen Tree, Georgie worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and in private equity at TPG Capital and The Rise Fund, where she developed a passion for investing, studying what makes a great business, and working closely with founders and entrepreneurs.
Georgie received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University, and most recently received her MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Georgie is based in Long Island, New York and in her spare time is an avid golfer & squash player.

Katie Maley
DEAL ORIGINATION
Before joining Aspen Tree, Katie worked as an associate at Morgan Stanley Fund Services and most recently as an M&A Professional at Evergreen, a subsidiary of Alpine Investors.
While there, Katie developed a passion for working directly with founders, having personally sourced 6 businesses that now sit within the Evergreen portfolio.
Katie received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University and currently lives in San Francisco, California, where in her spare time she loves hiking in Marin County with her dog, Winnie.

Kent Weaver
BOARD MEMBER
Kent Weaver is the founder, CEO and Managing Member of Granite Point, his personal family office, having invested in over 75 privately-held middle market companies.
In addition to Granite Point, Kent is currently Executive Chairman and former CEO at a Progressive Home Care, a Sacramento-based healthcare company that he’s operated for nearly 15 years. Under his leadership, returns have exceeded 70x the acquisition capital with IRRs over 70%.
He received his MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles and BS in finance from the University of Southern California.

Hiten Varia
BOARD MEMBER & OPERATING PARTNER
Hiten Varia is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with broad leadership experience across multiple business and technology sectors. He’s equally passionate about helping companies understand their true value proposition and providing the operating guidance to help them succeed.
Hiten spent 17 years at i2 Technologies (now JDA Software) in various executive leadership roles. In these positions, Hiten contributed significantly to i2’s growth strategy, driving the company’s revenue from $5 million to $1 billion in just five years.
Hiten holds an M.S. in Computer Architecture and Software Design from University of Kentucky, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Baroda, India.

Rick Gustafson
BOARD MEMBER
Rick has spent his 30-year career in Silicon Valley, with the last 20 years focused on guiding enterprise SaaS companies, currently an investor and/or board member for Banyan Software, Emporos, MD Clarity, Solen Software, OneShield Software, ScribSoft, EXA Capital, Merit Holdings, and several others.
He most recently spent eight years as the CFO of ServiceMax, the industry’s leading field service management SaaS company, where he was a key contributor to the company’s strategy, rapid growth and $1 billion acquisition by GE Digital (NYSE: GE).
Rick earned an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics/Business from UCLA.
